More than 160 people attended the fifth Chad Business Awards on Thursday.

They packed into Sookholme’s John Fretwell Centre to see 18 awards handed out to the best in business in Mansfield and Ashfield.

The roll of honour included the Lifetime Achievement for Mansfield 2020 chairman Irvin Robinson, while internationally-renowned hairdresser Mark Leeson won Business Personality of the Year.

It was also a night to remember for Mansfield Manor.

The Carr Bank Park-based hotel scooped the Business of the Year and New Business of the Year awards, while co-owner Diane Doran won Entrepreneur of the Year and staff member Kim Wilson was joint winner in the Apprentice of the Year category.

Employer of the Year - Linney Group

Excellence in Professional Services - Specsavers Mansfield

Small Business of the Year - A Star Media

Creative Innovation - Fidler & Pepper

Business of the Year - Mansfield Manor
