Centre’s sweet taste of success

The shopping centre’s management team has helped three independent retailers open stores in the centre in the past two years, the others being Cake Fusion and Lily’s Cards.

The latest success story is The Sweet Explosion, owned by Rachel Taylor-Colclough and Jason Colclough, which is moving from the Indoor Market.

Only founded last year, the business has grown rapidly in just six months, selling signature bouquets of sweeties and Shmoo milkshakes.

Centre management staff worked closely with Rachel and Jason, discussing business plans and ideas, and once an agreement was reached, support was given to get the shop ready for trading.

Customers are invited to visit The Sweet Explosion at Idlewells this Saturday from 9am. There will be free samples of Shmoo and Slush Puppies to celebrate its grand opening.
