Celebration of ‘exceptional’ NHS trust staff

The Staff Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding members of staff across King’s Mill, Newark, Mansfield and Ashfield hospitals.

This year’s awards, which are funded entirely through sponsorship, were held at the John Fretwell Sporting Complex in Mansfield and hosted by Stewart Nicholson from Mansfield 103.2.

More than 180 nominations were received this year for exceptional teams and individuals and winners were chosen from a shortlist in seven categories, including the prestigious People’s Award, voted for by the public to recognise a special individual or team who provide first class care above and beyond the call of duty.

Chief executive Paul O’Connor said: “It is easy to be distracted by the various headlines that the NHS receives on a daily basis, forgetting the millions of staff who dedicate their lives to serving others. Our awards are just one ways in which we say thank you to those colleagues who consistently go above and beyond for our patients and their families.”
