Police have renewed an appeal over an attempted robbery in Kirkby after eliminating two men from the inquiry.

A man was stopped outside the Nags Head pub, on Station Street, by two men on Friday, February, 16, at about 5pm.

One grabbed hold of the victim and demanded he hand over his phone and money, although nothing was taken.

Nottinghamshire Police later released a CCTV image of two men they wanted to speak to in connection with the incident.

The pair have since come forward and been eliminated from the investigation.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: “Following an appeal we published after an attempted robbery outside the Nags Head pub in Station Street, Kirkby, on February 16, 2018, the two men who were pictured came forward and have been eliminated from our investigation.”
