CATCH '˜EM ALL: Notts fire service '˜finds new Pokemon'

Smokemon, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Services 'new Pokemon'.

The Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service claim to have found a new Pokemon - inside working smoke alarms.

According to them, the virtual creature - called Smokemon - is lured towards alarms that have been tested and looks, unsurprisingly, like a smoke alarm.

The ‘PokemonGo’ phenomenon is taking the world by storm attracting over seven and a half million players since its July 5 launch.

The aim is to ‘catch’ the digital characters that the game ‘places’ in the real world via your smartphone.

The firefighters hope to capitalise on the game’s huge popularity and encourage fire safety at the same time.
