A worker at Alfreton’s Meadows Care Home has been recognised for her efforts in a national award scheme.

Carol Riley is the kitchen assistant/cook at the Mansfield Road care facility and was nominated for the auxilliary award at the Great East Midland Care Awards.

It was nurse quality manager JuliaDavies who nominated Carol for the accolade and although she missed out on the title she made it to the prestigious final.

“I nominated Carol because she has such a cheery disposition,” said Julia.

“She is always smiling and laughing and helps create a wonderful atmosphere in the home.

“Residents and relatives all love her and she is wonderful to have around.”

The Meadows Care Home is part of the Milford Care Homes group.
