Car in Mansfield stolen with 11-year-old girl inside

A man has been arrested after a car was stolen in Mansfield- with an 11-year-old girl strapped inside.

Officers were called to Westhill Drive at around 8.45pm last night (Monday, January 22) after the car crashed near Palterton.

A 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.

The child is safe and well, a police spokesman confirmed.
