Cannabis grower arrested in Langwith

A man has been charged with producing cannabis after a suspected grow was discoevered at his house by police.

Derbyshire Constabulary has revealed today they arrested the man, Hai Nguyen, after discovering suspected plants and associated equipment at a house in Moorfield Lane, Langwith.

The 31-year-old was arrested at the property on May 30, and has now been charged with producing the class B controlled drug, although he claims to be of no fixed address.

police said officers found a “large number” of the suspected cannabis plants at the scene.

Nguyen was remanded in custody and due to appear at North East Derbyshire and Dales Magistrates’ Court today Monday, June 1.
