Campaign a success for family firewood supplier

The family business covered 87 miles during its collection weekend and gathered over 50 trees which it transformed into the nutritious fertiliser which retains water, protects roots and shoots from frosts and keeps weeds at bay.

Joint owner Mark Morley said: “It is fantastic for those who booked a collection to know that their tree will be benefiting others.

“We started our recycling project in 2012 and it has really expanded this year.

“Even Radio Nottingham got in touch and we were interviewed by Mark Dennison in his morning programme.

“We are gearing up for our next project and are looking for any local businesses around the area to donate any unwanted pallets to create recycled bird boxes for the spring.”
