YOUNGSTERS who want to try new activities are being urged to join the 1300 (Sutton-in-Ashfield) Squadron Air Training Corps.
The cadets are open to teenagers aged between 13 and 17-years-old and offers a range of activities, including swimming, athletics, cross country, football, rugby and hockey.
There are also opportunities to go to RAF camps in the UK and abroad at RAF Gibralter and RAF Rheindhalen, as well as Adventure Training Camps like Beckingham.
Teens can take part in Air Experience Flying and Air Experience Gliding, as well as gain scholarships to work towards their pilot’s licence in flying and gliding.
Other benefits include Duke of Edinburgh award, qualifications in First Aid and BTECs in Aviation Studies.
