A crash led to the closure of a road near Shirebrook this morning

Main Street Shireberook has been reopened following a crash this morning.

Police were called to the accident involving a Seat Ibiza and a Ford Fiesta at around 9.05am.

Firecrews from Shirebrook and Mansfield were called to release a female casualty who was treated at the scene by East Midlands Ambulance service.

A police spokesman described her injuries as ‘not serious’. The road is now clear for traffic
