Busy Mansfield road closed due to serious accident involving lorry and pedestrian

Quarry Lane is closed from the junction at Titchfield Park to the junctions with the A60 at St Peters Way and Sainsbury’s.

There is a traffic diversion in place on Sheepbridge Lane.

An air ambulance is currently in attendance while a man receives treatment for serious injuries.

Inspector Kylie Davies, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are currently working closely with our emergency services colleagues to close the road while a man receives treatment for his injuries.

“Quarry Lane will remain closed until it has been cleared and drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.

"We would ask that anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage please ring 101 with regards to incident number 350 of 17 July 2020."
