Businesswoman Bev joins Dragons' Den panel
Boss Bev Parr, of the packaging supply store, B.and J.Parr, was one of the female dragons who heard pitches for business ideas in a competition based on the hit TV show and organised by the Nottinghamshire Community Foundation charity. The pick of the eight contestants was Duwayne Watson, who received a grant for £2,500 after setting up a firm that arranges parties for students in colleges and school sixth forms. Bev said: “I could immediately see the potential of this business. My daughter is 17 and would love to go to an event organised by Duwayne. That age range is too old for youth clubs and too young for nightclubs, so where do they go?”
