Set in the heart of Clumber Park, the new Barkers Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal in beautiful historic surroundings.
Formerly home to generations of Head Gardeners, this historic Victorian villa, overlooking Clumber Park’s Walled Kitchen Garden, has been lovingly refurbished to create an indulgent restaurant.
As reported in Chad recently, the team at Clumber Park has worked closely with award winning locally based interior designer Jamie Hempsall to inspire the feeling of stepping into a comfortable, elegant home.
Barkers has two dining rooms on the ground floor, each individually designed, and two function rooms and a boardroom upstairs, which can be used for private functions such as special celebrations or small wedding receptions.
A stunning outdoor eating area has been created within a private, fragrant garden in which herbs and edible flowers are inter-planted within traditional herbaceous borders.
A meal at Barkers will always be a memorable occasion, be it a coffee-time treat, lunch with friends or afternoon tea. Barkers Head Chef, Uwe Siwy, has created a seasonal British lunchtime menu with a contemporary twist.
Uwe specialises in creating the finest homemade dishes using local ingredients, many picked fresh from the Walled Kitchen Garden.
Barkers is open every Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 4pm for coffee, lunch and afternoon tea. To make a booking call 01909 544925.
Chad has teamed up with Barkers to offer readers the chance to win Traditional Afternoon Tea for four people.
This indulgent afternoon feast includes a pot of freshly brewed tea of your choice, a selection of finger sandwiches, freshly baked sultana scones with extra thick cream and strawberry and champagne preserve, as well as homemade cake, fresh fruit tart and homemade shortbread.
