A former bank premises in Mansfield town centre could soon be converted into a new shop, with upper-floor office space.

The old Lloyds Bank building on Stockwell Gate is subject to a planning application at Mansfield District Council.

The bank relocated to more modern premises and the building has stood empty since.

On behalf of the applicant, Ripley-based Andrew Birch, a statement reads: “It would be unlikely to be re-used as a bank, and to avoid it becoming neglected, some changes are required.”
