BLIDWORTH-BASED surveying company First Order Red Ltd last week competed against other organisations from across the country in a bid to win the coveted ‘Winner of the Year’ accolade at the National Training Awards in London.
The firm beat some tough competition to become an East Midlands winner with its unique apprenticeship scheme.
The Asbestos Surveyor Apprenticeship Programme then went forward to compete at the 25th prestigious annual ceremony, at ExCel in London last Wednesday.
Will Deverill, contracts manager/director at First Order Red, said: “We would argue that the single greatest factor in the success of our apprenticeship programme has been our rigorous recruitment procedures based on the two guiding principles of ‘aptitude and attitude’.”
