Daybreak star among guests at Selston Arts and Community College careers day

MORNING TV star Kate Garraway was in Selston on Friday afternoon during a special careers day for students.

The Creative Industries Day at Selston Arts and Community College was organised by Ashfield MP Gloria De Piero and saw 200 pupils from across the area visit the school to pick up tips on how to get the jobs they want.

Ms Garraway was joined at the event by Chad editor Tracy Powell, former GMTV weather girl Claire Nasir, Southwell screenwriter Billy Ivory, BBC 6 Music DJ Chris Hawkins and Ilkeston Advertiser editor Peter Hemmett.
