College means business . . .

West Notts College has welcomes two high profile business leaders this week.

Yesterday Lord Dilijit Rana of Belfast, president of the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry, toured the new creative arts centre at Derby Road and the Construction and Logistics Skills Academy in Kirkby.

On Friday the college will welcome Michael Davis, chief executive of the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES). Mr Davis will hear it supports businesses across the country to up-skill their workforce.

Principal Asha Khemka OBE said: “It will be a privilege to welcome such distinguished and influential guests and inform them how the college is not only contributing to the UK education and skills agenda but, through its work with employers, is boosting economic prosperity.

“Securing visitors of this calibre is further proof of the college’s voice in the world of education, skills and business.”
