Best in Business off to flying start

AFTER launching in last week’s Chad, it didn’t take long for business owners to start putting their businesses forward to be part of the Best in Business scheme.

The scheme celebrates the achievements of local shops, companies, garages - every type of business that is helping boost Ashfield’s economy.

They could be having a particularly successful year sales-wise, opening a new branch or marking a special anniversary.

Whatever your achievement is, we want to hear from you and we will be profiling two Ashfield businesses each week.

Those included will receive a Best in Business certificate to put on display and all participants will be entered into a draw to win a trip to the House of Commons with MP Gloria De Piero and members of the Ashfield Chad team.

Ms De Piero said that the scheme is a great way to boost businesses who play an important role in the local economy.

“When you look at what some of our local businesses have managed to achieve it does make you proud.

“There is so much to celebrate which is why the Chad’s Best in Business scheme is such a great idea and I’m really looking forward to inviting the winners down to Parliament for a well deserved lunch in a few weeks time,” she said.

Chad editor Tracy Powell said newspaper is proud to showcase the good work of Ashfield’s businesses. We want all our readers to know that it’s not all doom and gloom, and that there is positivity to recognise and honour,” she added.
