Derbyshire firm Wildgoose Construction has started work on a £2m contract to build more than 20 new homes.
The Alfreton-based firm will build 23 new build houses, one bungalow and carry out refurbishment to one dilapidated existing home in Rotherham.
The project, for Synergy Housing Solutions Ltd, is scheduled to be completed in February 2015.
The development will provide housing for 97 occupants and is to be built within an existing housing estate.
Tim Walker, managing director of Wildgoose Construction, said the firm was pleased to have won this contract.
He said: “We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver high quality homes and are thrilled to have been able to use our knowledge of the affordable housing sector to have won this contract. These are exciting times for Wildgoose.”
