2020 meeting news

Businesses are invited to attend the monthly Mansfield 2020 business meeting at Mansfield Civic Centre, on Thursday 27th October, 7.30-9am.

Tim Quincey, of John Hooper & Company, will offer an enlightening presentation entitled ‘See a divorce lawyer before you get married’. Essentially, this relates to the benefits of getting advice about the sort of provisions that can be put in place by a couple who are intending to marry in order to regulate what will happen should the marriage not succeed. A kind of matrimonial insurance!

In his presentation entitled, ‘Taking the temperature of the UK economy’, Alastair Cunningham will talk about his role as the Bank of England’s Agent in the East Midlands – talking with businesses across the region and feeding back on their take on economic trends as a sanity check on the data and models used by the monetary policymakers in London.
