Business is booming for Mansfield’s Ann Summers branch, after it was named one of the UK’s best performing stores.
The store, which is based in the Four Seasons Shopping and has five members of staff, attained the second best performance scores in the country at the company’s annual Retail Awards.
Rebekah O’Neill, Four Seasons Shopping Centre manager, said: “This is a great success story for Ann Summers.
“I know how tirelessly the team have worked throughout the course of the last 12 months.
“Its customer service is excellent with many shoppers returning again and again.
“Each team member has built up a fantastic rapport with not only shoppers but also the Four Seasons management team, which makes them a pleasure to work.
“The brand has now been at the centre for 15 years and has consistently performed well since it opened.”
“They really do deserve this recognition.”
Jade Donovan, store manager said: “We are absolutely thrilled with this honour.
“We were awarded tenth place the year before so to finish at number two this financial year is an unbelievable accomplishment.
“My team and I put in so much hard work to get to this result and I am very proud of what they have achieved.”
Jade believes the store success is down to the staff’s passion for their jobs.
Jade said: “Our success is all about empowering women, we want them to feel amazing.
“We treat our customers the way we would want to be treated, and we receive training on how to deal with all kinds of customers, from the nervous people to experienced customers.
“Nothing shocks us, you have to be very opened minded in this business.”
Alongside the products, the store also has a free Bra Fitting service, provided by fully trained staff.
The store has also gone on to achieve the Mansfield BID platinum award.
Jade said: “From catwalk shows in Four Seasons showcasing our Halloween ideas to having the Reenie’s Rockettes Burlesque Troupe do a flash dance in store, have all been part of our ongoing strategy to keep the brand fun and inspiring as well as helping to generate more footfall in to the shop.”
“Our customers mean the world to us and that is what makes us do well.
“As a manager, I couldn’t ask for a better team and I would be nothing without the dedication that each member brings to work every day.”
The store has a wide range of different products, with their the ‘sexy lace’ lingerie range remaining among the bestsellers.
Sales of oils and lubricants have also increased over the past year due to “expert and specialist advice” from staff.
