Business help for schoolkids
Members of the Career Champions programme gave a workshop to young people from Garibaldi College and Queen Elizabeth’s Academy to offer career advice.
The workshop addressed Year 13 students who have chosen not to go to university and provide them with practical advice to maximise their opportunities.
The workshops, facilitated by the Mansfield Learning Partnership, delivered practical and vital employability skills such as writing a covering letter, CV, interview and networking skills plus how to understand the local labour market including local apprenticeships.
‘Career Champion’ (CC) is a platform for employers to address the concerns of career guidance.
