A 41-year-old Bulwell man who is awaiting sentence for downloading indecent photos and videos of children is to be psychologically assessed.

Peter Gregory, of Kersall Drive, has admitted a string of offences between August 2009 and January this year.

Some of the images were at the most serious level five, showing acts of sadism involving children between the ages of four and 16.

Judge Jonathan Teare bailed Gregory at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday until 17th January for a report.

But the judge said it was no indication as to the likely sentence.

“In all probability there will be a custodial disposal,” the judge warned.

Gregory is also to be sentenced for possessing 170 indecent photos and movies of children with a view to distributing or showing them.

A further charge involves possession of extreme pornographic images involving horses and dogs.
