Budget consultation events in Ashfield

Residents can have their say on council plans to cut services to balance its budget at a series of roadshows being held.

Ashfield District Council is currently consulting with residents on its budget for 2013/14, with the proposals put forward including scrapping the Ashfield Festival and stopping funding voluntary bodies such as the Citizens’ Advice Bureau.

A series of events have now been planned where people can meet officers and councillors to discuss the budget proposals.

These will take place at the following times and places:

Monday 25th November - Sutton Indoor Market 9am to 11am

“There are still a couple of weeks to go before the survey closes on 6th December so there is still time to get your views to us.”

The survey can be accessed on the council’s website or paper copies are available from council offices.

All completed surveys will be entered into a prize draw for £50 worth of shopping vouchers.
