BREXIT: Article 50 could be triggered tomorrow
Article 50 could be triggered by Theresa May tomorrow if the Brexit Bill passes in Parliament.
The formal process for leaving the European Union could be set in motion if MP’s overturn an amendment to the Notification of Withdrawal Bill in the Commons today (Monday, March 13).
If this goes ahead, the Bill would only require approval from the House of Lords tomorrow in order for Article 50 to be triggered.
But No 10 officials have said “no firm date” has been taken on Article 50 before exit talks with the EU go ahead at the end of March.
