BREAKING: Scott Gladwin found not guilty of killing Huthwaite baby

The man accused of killing a Huthwaite baby by shaking has been found not guilty of the offence by a crown court jury.

Scott Gladwin (20) was on trial at Nottingham Crown Court for the manslaughter of four-month-old baby Scott Cawthorne, who died in February 2010.

Gladwin had been left looking after the baby at its Woodland Avenue home while its mother went to the shops.

The baby died from catastrophic brain injuries caused by shaking.

Today the jury took less than two hours to return a unanimous not guilty verdict.
