Breaking news: Sutton motorcyclist died following smash with car

A Sutton man was killed after his motorcycle was involved in a car smash.

The motorcyclist who died folowing a collision in Pentrich has been name as Robert Baker aged 30.

The incident, involving a green Kawasaki motorcycle and a Riley RMA Saloon, occurred on the B6013 Chesterfield Road at around 2.15pm on Sunday, May 13.

Mr Baker was transported to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the car, a 66-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and is being treated in hospital.

Four men were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and have been released under investigation.

Anyone with possible dash cam footage, or who witnessed the incident, is asked to call the Collision Investigations Unit on 101 quoting incident 498 of May 13.
