Donna Trusler, principal of the Manor Academy in Mansfield Woodhouse has resigned, the Chad can confirm.
In a statement The Two Counties Trust confirmed that Ms Trusler has resigned from her post for personal reasons.
The Trust said “Ms Trusler has decided that professionally it is in the best interests of the Academy to step down from her post immediately.
“In the immediate future Ms Kerry and Mr Gladwin will jointly oversee the running of the Academy as Acting Principals with support from the Two Counties Trust.
“It is the intention of the Board of Governors and the Two Counties Trust to have a more permanent arrangement in place from the start of next term.”
Neil Melton, Chair of Governors said that “he would like to take the opportunity to thank Ms Trusler for her commitment and hard work over the past five years with the Academy”
When she was appointed to the position at the age of 31 in 2014 Ms Trusler became the youngest large scale school principal in the UK.
