Brass band concert planned for Pleasley

A brass band concert will be held commemorating the start of the First World War at Pleasley Miners’ Welfare on 12th July.

The Pleasley and New Houghton Scarecrow Festival will be held on 14-15th June.
All profits from this year’s event will be go to the Royal National Institute of Blind People. 
Prizes include £75 for first place, £50 for second and £25 each for the next four winners. 
Refreshments on the day will be available at the Verney Institute, Newboundmill Lane, Pleasley.
