Boyes set to open new store in Warsop

The old Nisa store in Warsop is to be converted into a discount department store, Boyes.

The old supermarket on Church Street has stood empty since earlier this year, prompting calls from shoppers and parish councillors alike for a business to step in.

Parish and county councillor John Allin told the Chad: “They’ve been getting it all ready. It’s good news, it’s another shop opening in Warsop and will give much-needed parking spaces.

“If Netto get planning permission, that would be another 72 extra spaces.

“The only worry we have is that Boyes sells goods that can bought elsewhere in the town and we hope it does not have a knock-on effect.”

Boyes has confirmed it will be opening its doors on Friday, November 13.
