Mansfiedld’s Manor Academy held a School Book Fair where students could buy a variety of books from an array of authors at bargain prices.

All of the books there were being sold for half price and people flocked into the school library to get the best picks.

The best sold book of the week were the Hunger Games trilogy which were being sold at just £4.99.

Some of the profits made from the book fair will go back into buying further stock for the academy’s library.

Learning Centre Manager Alison Whitton said: “Raising literacy is one of the academy’s main objectives, and as the librarian, my main objective is to develop students’ love of reading, whether for pleasure or as part of their independent research skills.”
