Bolsover District Council is offering local businesses a wide range of affordable food hygiene and health and safety training courses.
The Council is registered as an Accredited Training Centre with Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance and have begun a full programme of certificated training including Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced courses.
All courses are taught by fully qualified, experienced environmental health officers, so businesses can be confident they will get quality up-to-date training, using a variety of visual aids and structured group work at very competitive prices.
Bolsover District Council’s cabinet member for the environment, Coun Dennis Kelly said: “Customers judge food businesses by their hygiene standards as well as the quality and price of the food. So it is vitally important that their employees have the correct training and understand the principles of food hygiene and health and safety.
“We regularly inspect food premises so it makes sense for us to offer to train the employees and managers as well, that way we know that they have all the information and techniques they need to provide a first class food hygiene service to their customers.”
