Body found believed to be missing South Normanton man

Yesterday, (Saturday, January 10) at 3.50pm police received a call from a member of the public informing them that a body of a man had been found in a wooded area near to Balmoral Close, Littleover.

Officers believe the body to be that of Ricky Hill, of South Normanton and formerly of Somercotes, who went missing from Royal Derby Hospital on Tuesday, September 23.

In October last year, Ricky’s father Steven Hill made an emotional plea to his son to let him and the rest of his family know that he was safe and well.

Formal identification of the body is yet to take place.
