Bloom time for Rebecca and friends...

A pupil from King Edward’s Primary School has won a competition to design a new flowerbed for Titchfield Park.

The competition, held as part of the Mansfield in Bloom campaign, was won by nine-year-old Rebecca Charlton, who designed an erupting volcano. The East Midlands in Bloom judges will see the flowerbed on their tour of the area in July.

Rebecca planted the flowerbed alongside members of her school’s gardening club and members of the council’s parks team and the Maun Conservation Group.
