Bilsthorpe pensioner conned into '˜roadworks contribution'
The resident of Oaktree Drive, Bilsthorpe, was visited by a man claiming to be from a road surfacing company, who asked if she could contribute toward work completed on the street by the council.
It happened on Monday, April 9, between 9am and 10.15am. The man is described as white, about 5ft 9in of average build and wearing dark clothing.

Hide AdOn the same day on Church Road, Clipstone, at about 10.15am , a male visited a property stating he had been sent by the landlord to check the gas, but was not allowed in – the landlord later confirmed he had not sent anyone.
He was white, aged 25-27, of skinny build with stubble on his face. He was wearing a grey tracksuit and a black beanie hat and left in a 55-plate blue BMW 1 series.
