Big turnout expected at jobs fair
All 50 available stalls at a huge jobs fair being held in Kirkby have been snapped up by employers looking for more staff.
Ashfield MP Gloria De Piero is hosting the event at Kirkby’s Festival Hall on Friday.
Doors will open to the public from 10am to 3pm and some of the big name employers with posts to fill include Ikea, Trent Barton, E-on, Van Elle and Welcome Foods.

Hide AdMs De Piero said: “With confirmation that all 50 stalls and stands have been booked up, we are now expecting a bumper turn-out from residents who are eager to get back into work or looking for a career change.
“Last year’s event attracted over 900 people on the day and the one on Friday promises to be just as big.”
A small number of support organisations will also be on hand to provide expert career guidance and advice and the event is free to attend.
