Mr Bradley said: "Employment has changed over the last few years, and it is now at a record high.

"This job fair gives people the opportunity to get support from the DWP, Dalmatian and Futures Mansfield with CV writing, and applying for jobs.

"There has been lots of economic growth nationally, and in Mansfield.

"Jobs have changed, lots are service and retail based now - we also need to bring in skilled, well paid jobs."

Katie Trinder, managing director of Dalmatian, was on hand to help job seekers with CVs and applications.

Katie said: "We wanted to develop a job board where you can create a profile and have your CV on there.

"It's set up to give everyone an equal opportunity, you can put your information in and it generates a CV that updates like Facebook.

"People, especially in Britain, are poor at selling themselves, and your CV is your first chance to make an impression.

"People are often shy to put themselves forward and a good CV can really reflect what you can do.

"My top tip for job seekers would be to think about what you'd like to do, and what you'd be happy to spend years of your life doing.

"Many people just look at what they think they'd be good at, but it's good to look at the practicalities and skills involved in a job that you really want, and some training is free or inexpensive."
