Becky makes a splash at Somercotes salon

The swimmer visited Hair and Beauty to meet the salon’s manager Victoria Hallam (centre) and senior hair stylist Amy Circuit. The salon is based on site at Slimming World head office, on the Clover Nook industrial estate and is open to the public.

Becky, who was at Slimming World to meet 44 finalists at the organisation’s Young Slimmer of the Year 2014 competition, was given a tour of the New-York-themed salon including the workstations, beauty rooms and an art-nouveaux inspired VIP room – a custom-built HD brow room and pedicure site.

She said: “I didn’t expect to find such a high-end salon on an industrial estate just down the road; what a little hidden gem! I would urge everyone in the local area to pop in if they haven’t already – I’m hoping to visit again soon.”

Victoria added: “Meeting Rebecca was a fantastic experience, she’s a real local hero and as a Mansfield girl myself I was so excited to meet her. She was really lovely! We’ve worked really hard to make the salon look and feel like a top New York beauty salon, and give clients that ‘celebrity’ experience, I felt really proud to show Rebecca around. She was really impressed by the look of our salon and seemed to love the fact that it was so local – we hope she’ll be coming back for some pampering treatments very soon.”
