There’ll be special offers and festive fun at the Four Seasons this, as late night shopping and Black Friday kick off the Christmas shopping experience in town.

As well as a whole host of price cuts, discounts and deals across the stores, shoppers will also be able to enjoy free parking from 5pm .

“We’re really excited about all the amazing offers for this year’s Black Friday,” said centre manager Rebekah O’Neill.

“The shopping extravaganza has become a really important date in our diary and so we’re excited to be opening longer this year – from 8am to 7pm – with free parking all day,” she said. “As its popularity has grown, so has the buzz in the centre in the lead-up to the day.”

This year’s Black Friday - the day after US holiday Thanksgiving - falls on 25 November, and to help shoppers get into the Christmas spirit, Four Seasons will have all manner of eye-catching offers to help savvy shoppers make some seasonal savings, Rebekah.

“Many of our retailers have already made their incredible Black Friday deals available,” she said. “With this year’s event looking to be one of the best yet, we have also launching our late night shopping and Festive Fun at Five this week.”

For the next four Thursdays, there will be free, early evening adult craft workshops at the centre.

Rebekah said the combination of fun events, free parking and huge cuts and special offers meant there was likely to be a massive increase in footfall on one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

“We always enjoy a bumper Black Friday here, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone this year,” she said.

Some of the confirmed special Black Friday offers at the centre include:

- Up to 50 per cent across stores, plus free parking and extended opening hours, from 8am-7pm

- At jewellers F. Hinds it’s ‘Black Wednesday through to Monday’ (until November 28). All sale items have a further 10% off

- Pandora’s Sparking Allure Bracelet (RRP £200) will be available on Black Friday for £149

Mansfield shoppers elsewhere in the town centre can also grab themselves a pre-Christmas bargain.

Eqvvs, the ladies and gents fashion shop in White Hart Street, has discounts on almost every item, including items from brands such as Lyle and Scott, EA7, and Barbour. Also available online at

The two-storey outlet is well known in the area for selling quality casual fashion items, and accessories.

Director Perry Walker said: “We did the online Back Friday two years ago and it was successful. Then last year we did it in the shops and it went down very well.

“This year, we have organised the Black Friday deals to last a week, having started on Monday just gone. It’s a great opportunity to purchase brands at a great price.”

Povey Antiques, in Market House Place, behind the Old Town Hall, is also taking part in Black Friday, with many items reduced by 20 per cent.

Proprietor Luke Povey said: “Antiques are for everybody, and there is something here to suit all budgets and tastes. We have everything from plates, vases, and porcelain dogs to bronze sculptures and local heritage items and much much more.”

Premier E-Cigs will be running 20 per cent off across everything in its Leeming Street shop on Black Friday and Saturday (26).

Hayley Marshall, from Premier E-Cigs said: “We do Black Friday every year and we find it very successful. We keep our prices as low as we can but sometimes it is good to give a little extra, particularly in the run up to Christmas.”

Mansfield Manor Hotel, next to Carr Bank Park, is an official Friend of Mansfield BID. It too is offering Black Friday deals.

People can get a 10 per cent discount off a tailor-made wedding package with only a £100 deposit.
