Bar and restaurant plans for unused Mansfield church
If approved, the venture at the former Methodist Church on Bath Street could create 14 full-time and 22 part-time jobs.
The building is currently vacant and is owned by Tibshelf Investments.

Hide AdThe planning application requests permission to use the building as a 280-capacity restaurant and café/bar.
The application to Mansfield District Council, the local planning authority, says no external alterations will be made.
Opening hours have been set out in the premises licence already granted by the district council as Monday - Wednesday 9am-midnight and Thursday to Sunday 9am-1.30am.
The hours are are a maximum and can be reduced by the operator.

Hide AdA letter submitted as part of the application says: “It is considered that an appropriate single use, as proposed, can be achieved which would be more viable with less harm to the fabric of the Grade ll-listed building.”
A decision is expected from the council by the end of October.
