Ban for a man caught twice over the limit

An Annesley Woodhouse man has been banned from driving for 20 months after admitting driving while more than twice over the drink-drive limit.

Mansfield Magistrates’ Court was told on Wednesday last week how Jamie Goodacre (25), of Main Street, was pulled over by police on 6th April after veering across the centre of the road while driving.

Daniel Pietryka, prosecuting, said: “He was given a roadside breath test and failed that so was taken to the police station.”

Goodacre’s defending solicitor said: “He is aware he will be banned and he has fully cooperated with the police.”

Along with the driving ban Goodacre was fined £270 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £27 victim surcharge.
