Ball excited for the return of T20 cricket

Mansfield-born Jake Ball can't wait for the return of T20 cricket this summer, which begins for Notts Outlaws on Wednesday at Trent Bridge.

Notts, without Ball for the first few matches in the competition due to his England commitments, face Birmingham Bears (6.30pm start).

The 27-year-old believes the Outlaws squad has enough ability to once again challenge for the T20 title, after winning it for the first time last season.

The tall seamer said: "I'm really looking forward to it. We've got a lot of good memories from the tournament last year. We played some really exciting cricket so I'm looking forward to getting back and playing that brand of cricket again."
