Bag-a-thon raises £953,240 for BHF

Throughout the month of September, East Midlands locals were busy raiding their wardrobes and donating their unwanted items to their local British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop in aid of the UK’s biggest stock donation appeal – the Great British Bag-athon.

This year BHF shops set an ambitious target, aiming to raise 1 million bags of unwanted things in one month, for life-saving research into heart disease.

Thanks to the overwhelming support from East Midlands locals, the East Midlands BHF shops have received an impressive 47,662 bags., which could be worth £953,240,
