Back-garden home blueprint is given the green light

Planners gave an application to build a home in the back garden of another property in Mansfield, despite objections from neighbours.

Seven letters of concern were written to Mansfield District Council about the plans for the new home
behind 27 West Bank Avenue.

A detached garage at the existing property will be demolished to make way for a new entrance to the new four-bedroom home.

Neighbours claimed the property, visually, would not be in keeping with the area, and would exacerbate highway safety issues.

However , councillors sitting on the committee during a recent meeting had no concerns about the plans and unanimously passed them, 10 votes to none.
