Office manager Fiona Sinclair and receptionist Sue Wetton have worked at Buckley House on West Street ever since it opened in 1995 and they even helped with the building work.

The awards were provided by head vet and practice founder Graham Oliver as tokens of his gratitude for their loyal service over nearly 21 years.

Fiona and Sue have seen numerous innovations at the surgery which have seen it become one of the most pioneering in the country.

As well as dealing with countless animal owners who have contacted Buckley House, both have pets of their own.

Fiona, who lives near the surgery, has a cocker spaniel called Tinker Bell and Sue is the owner of a whippet called Faye and a Patterdale terrier whose name (believe it or not) is Guess.

Sue and her husband also run an aviary in their back garden on Papplewick Lane, Hucknall, which provides nests where wild birds can rear fledglings.
