Award for Ashfield council’s environmental team
The council has been given a Quality Improvement Award because of its efforts in making the department more efficient and improving service quality. There has also been a significant increase in customer satisfaction levels.
Coun Andrew Davidson, portfolio holder for the environment, said: “I am really pleased to see Ashfield District Council being praised for a bold and original way of achieving financial savings while at the same time increasing customer satisfaction levels. I personally congratulate everyone involved and those who deliver the service to Ashfield residents on a daily basis.”
Phil Barton, chief executive of Keep Britain Tidy, said: “Doing things in a different way can pay off for both the council and its residents and Ashfield’s success is proof of this.”
