Assaulted Kirkby man left with broken ankle

A man was hospitalised with a broken ankle after being assaulted by a group of men in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

The attack happened at about 11.30pm Saturday, 9 December as the victim was walking along Southwell Lane, near to the junction of Lowmoor Road.

A Nottinghmashire Police spokesman said: “He was assaulted by several males and sustained a severely broken ankle as a result. He needed hospital treatment for his injuries.”

The offenders, who are white and about 18-24-years-old, ran off towards Lowmoor Road.
