The popular pubs, which will both reopen on November 25, will be revamped with new screens, a state-of-the-art sound system and flexible tiered seating.

The beer gardens will also be refurbished, with new TV screens installed, and locals will be able to order through the Marston’s ‘Order & Pay’ app to ensure they never miss a minute of the action.

Brewers Marston’s say the changes will help deliver ‘a stadium-style experience on every visit’ as part of their new ‘Grandstand’ sports pub concept.

Marston’s Operations Manager, Matt Dunn, said: “We’re so excited to show off the new and improved pub! With a calendar of sports up ahead, the Forest Tavern will be the perfect destination to get involved in a big event atmosphere and soak up the action, especially thanks to some amazing new technology, food and drink offers and events.”

The pubs will also be decorated with local sports memorabilia and is calling on the community to share photographs and items to help celebrate the achievements of local sports stars and teams, past and present.
