Ashfeld MP Gloria De Piero backs school food collection

This year the Kirkby primary school have joined forces with Kirkby Food Bank and over the last few weeks the children have been collecting lots of different items of tinned and dry food to donate rather than making a money contribution.

Sport Relief is publicly supporting food banks this time around and the school and the Kirkby food bank, which is based at the Ashfield Health Village, are hoping for a bumper collection when the MP visits.

For millions of people in the UK, going hungry is a very real issue and every little donation will go towards a fantastic and worthwhile cause.
